Emerging Technologies, EMT

Following an initiative of the Romanian Presidency in 2019, the Commission invited Member States to participate in informal emerging technology workshops. Five workshops were organised from November 2019 to November 2020, covering a range of emerging technologies, such as quantum computing, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, special materials, advanced semiconductors, hypersonics. During the German Presidency, experts compiled a series of "Fact sheets" with you can find on the following link providing summary information for each relevant emerging technology (EMT).
