Croatian representatives - students and young scientists - attended the first World Science Conference Israel (WSCI), held at the prestigious Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 16-20 August. The conference brought together today’s scientific leaders and young scientists from over 70 countries for an intensive five-day programme, during which the participants had a chance of personally hearing and meeting 15 Noble laureates and many other leading scientists.
Together with the head of delegation Petar Cucek, the conference was attended by Tara šverko, Josip Hadžiegric, Vasilije Perovic i Tomislav Sklebar. The opening ceremony of the conference, featuring an address by Shimon Peres, former President of the State of Israel, was attended by Ambassador Pjer šimunovic.
