Maestro Pavao Mašic at the Terra Sancta Organ Festival

Leading Croatian organist, Maestro Pavao Mašic, recipient of the most prestigious international awards, titular organist of the Church of St. Mark in the Old City of Zagreb, performed at the traditional international Terra Sancta Organ Festival, holding concerts at the Church of St. Peter in Jaffa, Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth, Church of St. Saviour in Jerusalem, and at the Church of St. Catherine in Bethlehem (13-16 October 2105). The festival is organised every year by the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, taking place in the churches at the territories where the Custody has its presence, encompassing Jordan, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Syria and Egypt. At his concert repertoire, Maestro Mašic presented also works of the Croatian composers, such as those of Giulio Baiamonti, Franjo Dugan, Ante Knešaurek, as well as of an anonimus composer from the Franciscan monastery in Klanjec from the 18th century. Concerts of Maestro Mašic were supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Tel Aviv and sponsored by the Croatia House Fund.
