State Secretary Gordan Bakota met in Ottawa with Canada's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Harder, and with Deputy Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Janice Charette. They discussed the improvement of relations between the Republic of Croatia and Canada. Opinions on bilateral relations of the two countries were exchanged as well.

State Secretary also spoke to leaders of some Canadian state agencies. The visit of the Croatian delegation to Canada included a meeting with the Croatian emigrants in Ottawa.
