Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received to a farewell visit Head of OSCE Mission to Croatia Peter Semneby

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received today, 19 April 2005, to a farewell visit Ambassador Peter Semneby, Head of the OSCE Mission to Croatia

Minister Grabar-Kitarović thanked ambassador Semneby for his contribution as the head of the OSCE Mission to Croatia, and pointed out that that is a proof of ascending and partnership relations between the Croatian Government and the Mission, which led resulted in a significant improvement in their interaction.

Ambassador Semneby pointed out that the partnership relations between the Croatian Government and the OSCE Mission to Croatia is an excellent example of good co-operation between OSCE and the host country that has produced results to the satisfaction of both sides. Ambassador Semneby also emphasized the pro-active role of Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and the Croatian Government in the process of reconciliation and regional co-operation, pointing out the signing of the bilateral Agreement on the Protection of National Minorities, Constitutional Law on Minority Rights (drawn up in accordance with the highest international standards), and the Joint Declaration on solving the issues of refugee and displaced persons, signed in Sarajevo this year.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović invited Ambassador Semneby to continue visiting Croatia on his new post, which is the result of friendship during his three-year mandate to Croatia.
