Upon the invitation of the organizer, Mrs Loreta Bertosa-Kusen opened the Heritage Fair marking the 30th Anniversary of the Cardinal Stepinac Village. In her speech, she praised the wonderful collection of work created by the residents of CVS and gave tribute both to the residents and to the dedicated staff who support and encourage them in undertaking so many varied projects and in following their imaginations. Mrs Loreta Bertosa-Kusen expressed gratitude for fostering Croatian Cultural Heritage but also appreciated greatly the ways in which this care and community project bring along residents of all backgrounds together with their carers and contributes to richness and multicultural spirit which are both great virtues of this programme. She particularly mentioned the magnificent floral hearts that were in the church area and that were particularly beautiful, which not only reflect the skills and the beauty of the mind of those who created them, but were a reminder of our Gospa’s prayers – Trsatska, Sinjska, Bistricka and Medjugorska. She congratulated the organizers and all those who contributed in making the Heritage Fair such a memorable occasion for everyone.
