The Embassy organised a reception for the participants of folkloric ensembles that jointly celebrated their anniversaries at a concert in Canberra. For many of them it was the first visit to the Embassy and, therefore, quite emotional. Ambassador Kušen, after a brief introduction on the Embassies’ activities in various fields with a special highlight on the importance of preserving Croatian traditions, thanked all the participants on their commitment and achievements. On the occasion of 50 years of successful work a special merit was awarded to Mrs Vera Crvenkovic, founder of the folkloric ensemble „Koleda“ from Sydney.
