European-Australian Business Council officials visit Croatian Embassy in Canberra

Executive Director of the European-Australian Business Council, based in Sydney, Mr Jason Collins and his collaborators visited the Embassy of Croatia in Canberra on 22 May. During the meeting with Ambassador Kušen he expressed a wish to further develop cooperation in promotion of economic relations between Croatia and Australia based on very good results achieved in 2016. According to the Australian official statistics trade in goods and services has surpassed 200 million AUD, whereas only five years ago it was at the level below 15 million AUD. The growth is primarily due to a strong positioning of Croatia in the ICT sector, innovation and new technologies. EABC Executive Director expressed his support of the idea to organise a business forum at the highest level during the upcoming visit of the President of the Republic of Croatia to Australia. He specially acknowledged the initiative of putting solar panels on the roof of the Embassy as a good example for other diplomatic missions, too.
