Organized by Ambassador Damir Kušen, the first Croatian-Australian joint course in robotics was held in Dubrovnik, from the 6th to the 12th July 2016. In addition to leading mentors from the Croatian and Australian Robotics Associations, as well as the national teams of young roboticists from both countries, thirty students from elementary schools of Vukovar participated as trainees in robotics. The main sponsors of this joint robotics course were the City of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik diocese, the Association of Technical Culture of Dubrovnik county as well as the Croatian Robotics Association. The leadership of the city of Dubrovnik also organized a special reception in the beautiful Palaza Sponza.
