On June 20 2014 the Croatian Embassy in Canberra organized a celebration of Statehood Day, which was attended by about 250 guests, among them a large number of foreign ambassadors and diplomats, Australian politicians and representatives of the local administration, representatives of business and academia as well as members of the Croatian community. The celebration of the Statehood Day was also used to promote products from Croatian companies of Podravka, Franck, and Zvecevo that are currently available on the Australian market, which have their representatives in Sydney. Also, the travel agency Croatia Tours from Canberra organized a presentation about Croatia as an attractive tourist destination. On behalf of the Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbott, during the ceremony at the Embassy, senator Zed Seselja, as an official envoy of the Prime Minister, read the Prime Minister"s greetings and welcome letter.
