Ambassador Damir Kušen in an official visit to Tasmania

Ambassador Damir Kušen and his wife Loreta Bertoša-Kušen officially visited Tasmania. The visit was organized by the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) as a joint visit of the diplomatic corps accredited in Canberra, and led by Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. This is the second official visit of Ambassador Kušen to Tasmania, who was previously with his wife Loreta, a personal guest of the former Governor Peter Underwood and his wife Frances Underwood. The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the economic potentials of Tasmania and to encourage possible projects of cooperation. Ambassador Kušen and his wife, while in Hobart spoke with Governor of Tasmania Professor Kate Warner, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, key representatives of the local government and tourism, visited the INCAT catamaran shipyard, and the Lift Raft System company. As part of the visit to Tasmania, Ambassador Kušen and Loreta Bertoša-Kušen met with the Croatian community at the Croatian House in Hobart. They visited the Croatian Catholic mission led by Father Berislav Hunski, and attended Sunday Holy’s Mass. Dr Kušen also gave an interview to a radio program in the Croatian language.
