The semi-final match of the Israeli Handball Premier League took place on 28 April 2017 in Rishon Letzion between the clubs Maccabi Srugo Rishon Letzion and A.C. SGS Ramat Hasharon. Two Croatian players, Robert Markotic and Ivan Karacic, play in Maccabi Srugo Rishon Letzion. With the important contribution of the Croatian players, Maccabi Srugo Rishon Letzion won and goes on to the final match. At the invitation of the Israeli Handball Association President, Ms Tina Krce, chargée d"affaires a.i., with the staff of the Croatian Embassy in Israel attended the match.
