    * Exit visa is required in case a person stays in Russia after their Russian visa has expired.
    In case of lost passport, a person should:
    1. report it to the police
    2. fill out the M8 form
    3. request an emergency travel document at the Croatian Embassy in Moscow

    * All Russian visa applications are submitted at the Russian Visa Centre in Zagreb, which in addition to consular fees charges 200 kunas for expenses.

    Applications are received 8-15 hours for natural persons, 8-14 hours tourist agencies. 

    * Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months after the expiry date of your visa.

    * Croatian nationals, as well as nationals of any other country, are subject to immigration control when entering the Russian Federation. For all additional questions regarding the conditions of entering the Russian Federation, please contact the Embassy of the Russian Federation or check the official website  http://www.fms.gov.ru.

    *Croatian nationals, as well as nationals of any other country or stateless persons, can check at the website www.mvd.ru whether the Russian Federation imposed an entry ban against them, as well as reasons of such a ban.

    * For visiting Kaliningrad Region (business, humanitarian, turistic purposes), Croatian nationals can obtain single-entry electronic visa via Russain MFA website (http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/). Visa is issued free of charge on the basis of filled out electronic application form on the website, at least four days  prior to the intended arrival. Digital photo is mandatory. This visa is valid only for staying in Kaliningrad Region, and entering other parts of the Russian Federation, as well as transfer to Kaliningrad Region is not possible. To check if the passenger has a valid electronic visa, go to Russian MFA website (http://evisacheck.kdmid.ru/).

NOTICE ON FULL APPLICATION OF THE SCHENGEN ACQUIS IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA AS OF 1 JANUARY 2023
 
As of 1 January 2023, the Schengen acquis is in full application in the Republic of Croatia as a Schengen area Member State.
 
The visa regime of the Republic of Croatia is part of the EU acquis.
 
As of 1 January 2023, Schengen visas (visas type A and C) and national long-term visas (visa type D) are issued in Croatian diplomatic missions and consular offices.
 
CALCULATION OF TIME SPENT IN THE SCHENGEN AREA
 
The time spent in the Republic of Croatia is added to the time spent in other Member States of the Schengen area.
 
Third country nationals, regardless of whether they are required a visa or not, may stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days in any 180-days period.

CROATIAN VISAS FOR SHORT-TERM STAY (VISA TYPE C) ISSUED UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2022
 
Croatian short-stay visas (visa type C) issued until 31 December 2022, if not expired, are still valid for entry into the Republic of Croatia, but do not allow entry into other Member States of the Schengen area.
 
TERMINATION OF APPLICATION OF THE DECISION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA ESTABLISHING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DECISION NO 565/2014/EU
 
On 1 January 2023, the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, of 22 July 2014, establishing the implementation of Decision No 565/2014/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 introducing a simplified regime for the control of persons at the external borders based on the unilateral recognition by Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania of certain documents as equivalent to their national visas for transit through or intended stays on their territories not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period and repealing Decisions No 895/2006/EC and No 582/2008/EC (OJ L 157, 27.05.2014) shall cease to apply.
 
Third country nationals who are holders of visas and residence permits of Bulgaria, Cyprus and Romania will no longer be able to enter the territory of the Republic of Croatia without a valid Schengen visa (visa type C) or Croatian national visa (visa type D).
 
 
SHORT-TERM STAY OF THIRD COUNTRY NATIONALS WHO ENTERED THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA BY 31 DECEMBER 2022
Third country nationals who are required a visa when crossing external borders and who will have entered the Republic of Croatia by 31 December 2022 with:
• a valid Croatian visa or
• a valid visa or residence permit of Bulgaria, Cyprus or Romania
can stay in the Republic of Croatia in accordance with the validity period and approved duration of stay of the issued visa.
 
Third country nationals who are required a visa when crossing external borders and who will have entered the Republic of Croatia by 31 December 2022 with:
 • a valid Schengen visa (visa C) for two or more entries
can stay in the Republic of Croatia in accordance with the validity period and approved duration of stay of the issued Schengen visa. However, please note that this duration of stay after 1 January 2023 is added to the number of days previously spent in the Schengen area and the number of days the visa holder plans to spend in the Schengen area after 1 January 2023, including the Republic of Croatia.
Third country nationals who are not required a visa when crossing external borders and who will have entered the Republic of Croatia by 31 December 2022, can stay in the Republic of Croatia without obstacle. However, please note that the time spent in Croatia after 1 January 2023 is added to the time they previously spent in other Member States of the Schengen area within 180-days period.

Third-country nationals who require a visa for Croatia can fill out the visa application form on-line at crovisa.mvep.hr (available in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Albanian, and Turkish language). Printed and filled out application form, along with other required documents, should be submitted to the competent Croatian Embassy/Consulate or visa centre.
