On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Croatia and Spain and the 10th anniversary of Croatia’s EU membership, the Zagreb Quartet held a concert at the Royal Palace of Madrid.

The 200 attendants included representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the legislative, executive and judicial government, as well as representatives of the Spanish Armed Forces, cultural and social circles, and distinguished members of the Croatian community.

The oldest Croatian sting ensemble performed on Stradivariuses owned by the Spanish Royal Collection at the Salón de Columnas hall, where in 1985 the agreement on Spain’s EU accession was inked.

The Croatian Embassy in Madrid organized the concert in cooperation with Patrimonio Nacional and with support from the Public and Cultural Diplomacy Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
