US President George W. Bush on two-day visit to Croatia
President of the United States of America George W. Bush arrived 4 April 2008 on a two-day official visit to Croatia
President Bush and the US delegation arrived in Zagreb from Bucharest, where the day before Croatia had received a NATO membership invitation.
President Bush is to meet today with Croatian President Stjepan Mesić, who will host the ceremonial dinner gathering members of the academic community, political life, economy, culture, and sports.
Tomorrow, 5 April 2008, President Bush will meet with Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and other members of the Croatian Government at Banski Dvori. Afterwards, President Bush is to address the Croatian citizens at the St. Mark’s Square.
The same day, President Bush is also scheduled to meet with leaders of Croatia, Macedonia, and Albania.
President Bush’s visit is being covered by more than 700 accredited journalists, of which more than 200 are foreign.
