Support for continued activities within Berlin Process

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday attended a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Berlin Process participating countries. The meeting was hosted by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
 
The ministers applauded continued activities within the Berlin Process, underscoring its role in promoting EU integration and strengthening connectivity on all levels: energy, transport, digital and human.
 
They also exchanged views on energy security, Green Agenda for the Western Balkans and the Common Regional Market.
 
Addressing the event, Grlić Radman described the Berlin Process as a successful initiative for the promotion of the integration process and inclusive regional cooperation.
 
He underlined support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans and the speeding up of the region’s economic integration through the Green Agenda and the Common Regional Market Action Plan.
 
Concerning the need to boost energy security and resilience, the minister said Croatia was ready to become an energy hub that could significantly contribute to Central Europe’s energy security. In addition, Grlić Radman highlighted the importance of continued investment in the youth, without which stability, progress and sustainable development of the Western Balkans is not feasible.
 
The Berlin Process was launched in 2014 and includes six Western Balkan countries, nine EU member states, the UK, as well as representatives of the European Commission and financial institutions.
