State Secretary Željko Kuprešak received Korean Vice-Minister of Planning and Budget Jang Shik Bahn

State Secretary for Organisation, Development and Management Željko Kuprešak received on 9 November 2007 the Vice-Minister of Planning and Planning of the Republic of Korea, Jang Shik Bahn

The meeting reviewed the topics concerning co-operation between the two countries, with a special emphasis on the economic relations. State Secretary Kuprešak invited the Korean side to invest in Croatia, in light of its prominent role as a stability and security factor in the region. He pointed out that Croatia and Korea have room to develop co-operation in tourism, since there is a growing number of Far-East tourists visiting Croatia.

Vice-Minister Bahn presented Korea’s EXPO 2012 candidacy, expressing belief that the topic on oceans and undersea resources will be of interest to Croatia as a maritime country, opening at the same time the possibilities for a further co-operation between Croatia and Korea in those areas.

State Secretary Kuprešak said that Croatia, in the aim of improving the overall co-operation and mutual relations, welcomes the appointment of a residential Korean ambassador to Zagreb.
