State Secretary for European Integration Marija Pejčinović Burić visited 27 June 2006 Düsseldorf, the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Federal Republic of Germany

State Secretary Pejčinović Burić met with the State Secretary at the Ministry of Federal and European Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, Karsten Beneke, and informed him about Croatia’s EU accession process, screening, and the meeting of the membership criteria, thanking Germany for its support to Croatia in the process. State Secretary Beneke expressed his satisfaction with the bilateral relations between the two countries and a firm conviction in the continuation of regional co-operation.

At the Croatian Consulate General, State Secretary Pejčinović Burić held a speech entitled Croatia on Its Way to the European Union, on the occasion of the marking of the Croatian Statehood Day.

In a short meeting with the Minister for Federal and European Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, Michael Breuer, State Secretary Pejčinović Burić reviewed the course of Croatia’s EU accession process.
