State Secretary at MFAEI Gordan Bakota headed Croatian delegation to Albania

State Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Bakota headed today, 11 June 2005, the Croatian delegation to the Republic of Albania

The two delegations discussed in a friendly atmosphere the organisational structure and budget of the two ministries. The Croatian side presented its achievements on the road to the Euro-Atlantic integrations and offered to share its experiences with the Albanian diplomat, offering to increase the number of Albanian diplomats attending the Dubrovnik Diplomatic Summer School.

The two sides also discussed the visa policy and agreed on holding regular two-sided consular consultations. The Croatian side’s proposition for the first round of consultations to be held in Zagreb wad accepted. State Secretary Bakota also met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania with Deputy Foreign Minister Luan Hajdarag, with whom he discussed the issues of the EU and the situation in the region.
