The two officials expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations and advanced political dialogue on all levels. Pusić thanked Finland for supporting Croatia along its road to EU, highlighting the technical assistance realized through 14 twinning projects and various other forms of bilateral cooperation with Finland’s institutions. She was hopeful that Finland would ratify Croatia's Accession Treaty as soon as possible.

In light of Croatia’s pending EU membership, also discussed was the possibility of cooperation in the new twinning project on visas.

Pusić briefed Ottman on the topics of this year’s Croatia Summit, which will focus on sharing Croatia’s experience in institution and modern state building, and for the first time see attendance by officials from the Southern Mediterranean countries.

The two officials also discussed models of regional cooperation, both in Southeast Europe and among the Nordic countries, as well as the possibility of Pusic paying an official visit to Finland this year.
