The two officials expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral relations and expressed confidence the two countries' relations would grow on both the political and the economic front, notably in the context of Croatia's coming EU membership.

Pusić and Titov took the opportunity to exchange letters on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Croatia and the Russian Federation, which will be marked tomorrow.

Discussing economic cooperation, Pusić and Titov underlined the potential in energy, infrastructure and tourism. Pusić said that even after it joined the EU, Croatia would try to facilitate the arrival of Russian citizens.

Pusić briefed Titov about this year’s Croatia Summit, set to discuss the possibilities of using Croatia’s accession experience in institutional building by the countries of Southeast Europe and the South Mediterranean.

The two officials also talked about the situation in Southeast Europe and expressed interest in active cooperation aimed at reaching full stability of the region. The talks also focused on the latest developments in Syria.
