The two officials expressed satisfaction with the continued development of friendly ties and partnership between the two countries. Pusić emphasized the importance of the Croatian expatriate community in Canada for the advancement of cooperation in all areas.

She informed the Canadian delegation about Croatia's EU accession process and the country's commitment to the implementation of all necessary reforms. She underscored that Croatia offered continuous support to the countries of Southeast Europe along their Euro-Atlantic path, thereby strengthening regional cooperation.

The talks also touched on the Youth Mobility programme which enables Croatian and Canadian citizens to get an education and work experience in Canada and Croatia.

Also pointed out were tourist potentials which could lead to more tourist visits on either side, which future investments should contribute to the growth and strengthening of economic cooperation.

Pusić informed Scheer about this year's Croatia Summit, saying that it will focus on using Croatia's experience from the EU accession process in building modern state institutions and for the first time see attendance by officials from the Southern Mediterranean countries.
