Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, met Ms. Maria Soledad Alvear Valenzuela
Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister, held a speech of honor at the Art Pavilion, at the inauguration of the exhibition The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb from 1990 – 2003.
Minister Picula emphasised excellent cooperation of several years between the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Croatian National Theatre based on mutual agreement that the culture of a country is the strongest and the most convincing way to confirm its value in the world.
Minister Picula pointed out that there is an increasing
need in the Republic of Croatia to present itself to the world as a
country with rich European and Mediterranean identity, as well as a
country with recognisable sensibility towards its own and other cultures.
In the achievement of this goal, Croatian diplomacy has an important
role promoting national culture in the world, as a third dimension of
foreign policy.
