Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula received Honorary Consul of Croatia to the Republic of Korea, Mr. Myun-kwan Hyun.

Minister Picula informed his guest about the current political and economic situation in Croatia, the efforts invested in joining the EU, and the changes in legislation to attract foreign capital to Croatia.

Mr. Hyun and Minister Picula agreed that it was necessary to make additional effort to improve bilateral cooperation, particularly at economic and cultural levels, between Croatia and Korea. To this end they proposed to establish a Joint Business Council at the level of Chambers of Commerce of both countries, as well as signing the Memorandum of Understanding between both SME Ministries. Mr. Hyun showed particular interest in Croatian experience in tourism and shipbuilding.
