Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul visited yesterday, 11 March 2004, accompanied by State Secretary Gordan Bakota, the Archbishop of Zagreb and President of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, Cardinal Josip Bozanić at the Archbishop's palace on Kaptol Hill, Zagreb
Minister Žužul informed Cardinal Bozanić about the foreign policy activities of the Croatian Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially the dynamic of approaching the EU and NATO. Minister Žužul and Cardinal Bozanić also talked about the other aspects of Croatia’s foreign policy. Opinions were exchanged about the relations between the Croatian Government and the Catholic Church in Croatia, as well as the relations between the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences, where Cardinal Bozanić is the vice-president, and European countries.
The meeting between Minister Žužul and Cardinal Bozanić went on in an open and friendly atmosphere for two hours.
