Mr. Miomir Žužul, Croatian Foreign Minister, received written congratulations conveyed to him by Ms. Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Austrian Foreign Minister, on the occasion of his appointment as Foreign Minister. Austrian Minister pointed out that “the friendship between our two countries based on both historical and current events, has always been in the focus of mutual relations”.

Minister Ferrero-Waldner expressed the readiness of Austria to give support to Croatia in deepening its relations with the European Union, and emphasised the conviction that the Croatian application for membership will be approved by the European Commission.
