Minister Pusić holds talks with Shanghai mayor

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusić 2 September held talks with Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong. Apart from cooperation between the two countries’ governments, an important part of bilateral cooperation is also regional and local cooperation, in which it is precisely the ties between Zagreb and Shanghai that play a crucial role. The Croatian government recognizes the importance of Shanghai and opening a consulate there is one of the Ministry’s future goals.

The Shanghai delegation was familiarized with the main goals of Croatia’s foreign policy as well as the plan for the development of economic diplomacy. Pusić presented the investment catalogue, pointed out the positive changes in Croatia’s investment climate and invited the Chinese side to follow energy and transport (namely railroad transport) projects at international tenders.
