On 22 December 2003, a transfer of duties between the current and newly appointed Foreign Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Tonino Picula and Mr. Miomir Žužul, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. Minister Žužul was informed by his predecessor about the current situation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and received a report with the review of activities and results in the period from 2000 to the late 2003, in which priority issues, to be resolved in the forthcoming period, have been indicated.

Minster Picula expressed wishes to his successor for success in his future work, while the new Minister announced that there should be no major changes in foreign policy, expect where promises made to Croatian voters are to be fulfilled.
