At the invitation of the Dominicans International Community, with a seat in Brussels, father Anastasio Petrić, academic painter, from Bol at the island of Brač, painted a contemporary vision of the Holy Family and the birth of Jesus. The painting was forwarded to Brussels through the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Croatian Embassy in Brussels.
The painting will be exhibited during Christmas festivities in the recently renovated Dominican Church which is located near European Union institutions, and will be exposed during Holy Mass on Christmas, 25 December 2003 At 11:00 hours. The Holy Mass will be transmitted by VRT, Belgian-Flemish television. The recording will be taken by Eurovision and will be transmitted at the Austrian, Swiss, French and Spanish television. Gospel will be read in four languages: Dutch, French, English and Croatian.
