On 6 November 2003, Foreign Minister Tonino Picula had talks with Dutch Defence Minister Henricius Gregorius Jozeph Kamp in Zagreb.
They discussed Croatian application for membership of the European Union and NATO. The Dutch Defence Minister expressed his government's supports to Croatian application and stressed that the good performance in the implementation of reforms is clearly visible. It remains to continue active cooperation within the region, solving the refugee issues and, in particular, the cooperation with the ICTY. He stressed that the European Union expects its future members not to bring with them unsolved problems from their past.
