Foreign Minister Tonino Picula had a meeting with leading Croatian economic executives, Mr. Boris Vujčić, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Croatia; Mr. Željko Čović, Chairman of the Board of Pliva Pharmaceuticals; Ivica Mudrinić, Chairman of the Board of Croatian Telecom; Ake Enell, Chairman of the Board of Nikola Tesla; Emil Tedeschi, Chairman of the Board of the Atlantic Group; and representatives of Agrokor and Eurocable.

It was the final meeting in the preparation for the presentation of the Croatian economy to the European Commission in Brussels on 29 October.

During their stay in Brussels, the delegation will also meet with the Commissioner for Foreign Policy, Chris Patten, and the Commissioner for Enlargement, Gunther Verheugen. This presentation is planned to make the officials and officers of the European Union better acquainted with the achievements and potentials of the Croatian economy in local and regional terms.
