Minister Grlić Radman: Croatia should be regionally differentiated

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, in an interview for the Croatian Radiotelevision, reflected on the measures for citizens returning from Croatia

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, in an interview for the Croatian Radiotelevision, reflected on the measures for citizens returning from Croatia.

We hope the decision to put Croatia on the red list would be reconsidered

“One should point out that some 100,000 Slovenian citizens own property in Croatia. This decision was based on the current trend of infection cases. However, we have been holding talks for a long time and Slovenia is favourably disposed as Slovenians like to spend their holidays in Croatia,” Grlić Radman underscored.

“Epidemiologists have said that Croatia should be placed on the red list for now, but there are certain statements in that decision that leave room for revision,” the minister added.

“I have spoken with my Slovenian counterpart about differentiating Croatia regionally instead of viewing the country as a whole. There’s a lot of room for change and we hope the decision would be reconsidered,” said Grlić Radman.
