On Monday, April 14, 2025, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman took part in the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council held in Luxembourg. The foreign ministers of the EU member states, chaired by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, discussed Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the security situation in the Middle East, EU-Africa relations, and the situation in the Western Balkans.

Speaking about the EU’s expectations for candidate countries to align with all of its values, principles, and policies, Grlić Radman emphasized that promoting regional stability and good neighbourly relations is essential in this context. He also called for a strong EU response to Serbia’s unacceptable treatment of Croatian citizens.

Regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina, the minister stressed that full equality of the three constituent peoples is the only path toward a democratic, prosperous, and stable country. He once again reaffirmed Croatia’s strong support for Ukraine, standing by Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s aggression, and emphasized that Croatia will continue to do so.
