Minister Grabar-Kitarović received EU members’ journalists

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on 23 October 2007 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration a group of journalist from the EU member countries

During the meeting with journalists specialised in the EU issues, Minister Grabar-Kitarović reported on the current course of Croatia’s EU accession negotiations, offering insight into the details of the process. She especially noted the reforms Croatia is conducting in order to achieve membership readiness, with an emphasis on the justice reform, restructuring of certain branches of economy, and legislature harmonisation.

Answering the journalists’ questions, which have shown special interest in Croatia’s positions, namely in light of its election to the non-permanent Security Council membership, Minister Grabar-Kitarović also presented Croatia’s views on the situation in South Eastern Europe, as well as on bilateral relations with the neighbouring countries.

The group of 15 journalists from the EU members is on a three-day visit to Croatia, organised by the European Commission’s Delegation to the Republic of Croatia.
