Minister Grabar-Kitarović met with Lichtenstein’s Foreign Minister Rita Kieber-Beck

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović met on Wednesday, 10 May 2006, at the MFAEI with the Foreign Minister of the Principality of Lichtenstein, Rita Kieber-Beck, who was on an official visit to Croatia

Minister Grabar-Kitarović pointed out the good relations and close co-operation between the two countries, expressing hope that the friendly relations will continue and deepen, especially in the field of economy, culture, and tourism. She added that there are no outstanding issues between Croatia and Lichtenstein.

Minister Grabar-Kitarović also stressed that Croatia greatly appreciates the humanitarian aid Lichtenstein was sending it during the Homeland War, pointing out that in 1996, Lichtenstein’s Prince and Princess donated the entire money value of their wedding presents to building a home in Brezovica for child victims of war.

Minister Kieber-Beck, for whom this was the first official visit to Croatia, pointed out the good bilateral relations between the two countries, with room for improvement in the field of political and economic co-operation.

The two ministers also discussed the bilateral co-operation between Croatia and Lichtenstein, co-operation within Euro-Atlantic integration, relations with the South East European countries, the role of CEFTA, relations with other European countries, changes in the international environment, and the role of the small countries.
