Minister Gordan Jandroković received on inaugural visit Finnish Ambassador Ann-Marie Nyroos
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 31 March 2008 on inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Republic of Croatia, Ann-Marie Nyroos
Minister Jandroković reported on Croatia’s achievements in acceding to the EU. Thanking for Finland’s continuous support for Croatia in the realisation of that goal, Minister Jandroković confirmed Croatia’s firm dedication to conducting the economic, justice and public administration reforms, as well as to enhancing the fight against corruption.
The two collocutors reminded that in 2008 Finland chose Croatia as its main twinning partner. It is about the pre-accession assistance for the EU candidates realised through the co-operation between the state administration employees of the candidate countries and the corresponding or similar bodies of the EU members. It is aimed at creating a more modern and efficient administration, capable of implementing the acquis. Currently underway is a project on combating corruption, which is being realised though a co-operation between the relevant Finnish bodies and the Croatian Ministry of Interior.
