Minister Gordan Jandroković received Gunter Gloser, Minister of State for Europe at German Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 14 April 2008 Gunter Gloser, the Minister of State for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany

Minister Jandroković and Minister of State Gloser expressed satisfaction with the two countries’ traditionally very good and partnership relations. Minister Jandroković thanked for Germany’s continuous support for Croatia on its path towards the EU and NATO, as well as for the support in speeding up the negotiation process and the Germany Government’s engagement during Germany’s EU presidency in the first half of 2007.

Minister Jandroković and Minister of State Gloser also expressed satisfaction with the well-developed and diverse interdepartmental co-operation on a federal and regional level, especially in economy, culture, education, internal affairs, and defence co-operation within the ISAF mission. The two countries’ excellent co-operation is also realised through the activities of two commissions – the Permanent Croatian-Bavarian Commission and the Mixed Baden-Württemberg Commission.

The meeting also discussed the situation in the region, with Minister Jandroković expressing satisfaction over the recognition of Croatia’s leading role in South Eastern Europe and its responsibility towards other countries in the region, as well as over Germany’s willingness to assist Croatia in the realisation of its role as the reform leader in the region.

Minister of State Gloser was also received by State Secretary for European Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Željko Kuprešak.
