Minister Gordan Jandroković received to inaugural visit UK Ambassador Sir John Ramsden

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković received 11 April 2008 to inaugural visit the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Sir John Ramsden

Minister Jandroković and Ambassador Ramsden expressed satisfaction with the two countries’ very good relations, devoid of outstanding issues. Minister Jandroković thanked for the programs of the 2007/2008 UK-Croatia Strategic Partnership, including professional assistance in the public administration reform.

Ambassador Ramsden stated his expectations that the continuation of the Strategic Partnership will be presented the next time Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown arrange a meeting.

Both sides that this way a successful period for Croatia, as evidenced by the NATO invitation, non-permanent UN Security Council membership, and the progress of the EU accession negotiations.

Minister Jandroković and Ambassador Ramsden also exchanged opinions about the further strengthening of bilateral co-operation, situation in the region, and Croatia’s role in the spreading of the stability zone in South Eastern Europe.
