Minister Gordan Jandroković met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Skënder Hyseni on the sidelines of the “Croatia Summit 2009” in Dubrovnik

The collocutors described the bilateral relations between the two countries as friendly and without any outstanding issues, and with numerous common interests for further co-operation. Minister Jandroković said that Croatia was willing to provide active help to Kosovo in a number of areas, from institutional strengthening to the sharing of experiences concerning the processes of accession to Euro-Atlantic integration.

Further improvement of economic co-operation between Croatia and Kosovo was also discussed at the meeting and numerous possibilities were pointed out, especially in the area of trade and infrastructural projects.

Minister Jandroković informed Minister Hysenia about Croatia’s accession negotiations for full membership of the European Union. Both parties stated that Croatia’s membership in the European Union had special importance for the stability of all the countries in the region. Ministers Jandroković and Hyseni also confirmed the willingness of both states to continue regional co-operation at all levels based on good neighbourly relations and the principle of equality.
