Minister Jandroković expressed gratitude for the support of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Croatia in the process of accession to the European Union. After pointing out that the Republic of Croatia continued its commitment to fulfilling the remaining obligations in accordance with the European Commission’s Indicative Timetable, Minister Jandroković informed his collocutor in detail about the current status of the negotiation process. He added that the Republic of Croatia continued with harmonisation of the legislation and that it had intensified efforts to conclude and meet all closing benchmarks for all chapters that are being negotiated. With regard to Slovenia’s blockade of the Croatian negotiations, the Minister informed his colleague from Luxemburg about the course of talks between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia on finding mutually acceptable solution to unblock the Croatian accession process and solving the border dispute.

The collocutors also reviewed the status and mutual relations among the Southeast European states and they agreed that the Euro-Atlantic prospects were the guarantee of lasting peace and stability in this part of Europe.

In the afternoon, Minister Jandroković is meeting with Zoran Jankovič, the Mayor of Ljubljana.
