Describing the relations between all of the countries as very good and friendly, devoid of outstanding issues, ministers Jandroković and Milošoski reviewed the current state of affairs in the region of South Eastern Europe.

In regard to Croatia’s EU accession negotiations, Minister Jandroković said he believes they have strategic significance for other countries in the region, and that their unencumbered progress is important not only for the region’s stability and future, but for the European project as a whole. He reiterated Croatia’s willingness to transfer its European integration experiences and expressed support for Macedonia’s aspirations – joining NATO and progress in the EU accession process.

The ministers also discussed the effects of the global crisis on the economies of Croatia and Macedonia, particularly on the functioning of the two countries’ diplomatic network. The next meeting was scheduled for September, when opinions will be exchanged about Serbia’s initiative to jointly organize a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
