Inaugural visit from Luxembourgian Ambassador Christophe Schiltz

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman received the non-resident Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Republic of Croatia, Christophe Schiltz, on his inaugural visit.
 
Both officials expressed satisfaction with the very good and friendly relations between Croatia and Luxembourg, emphasizing their mutual desire to further strengthen these ties. In this regard, opportunities for enhancing economic cooperation were highlighted, particularly in the energy sector, defence industry, and digitalization. Furthermore, the close alignment of Croatia and Luxembourg's positions on current international affairs was reaffirmed, with a special emphasis on the need to strengthen European defence, continue support for Ukraine, address internal border controls within the Schengen Area, and advance the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
 
Grlić Radman thanked Schiltz for Luxembourg’s support of Croatia’s efforts to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
