On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman met with representatives of the HRVI Nemo-Adriatic Diving Club, Rene Cipovac and Andreja Vedrina. The meeting focused on reviewing the results of the reintegration program for Ukrainian veterans and discussing plans for the second phase of the project.

As stated by the representatives of HRVI Nemo-Adriatic and project leaders, the reintegration program is conducted in partnership with the UNBROKEN Foundation. It is designed to provide psychological rehabilitation and social integration for Ukrainian veterans through sports and educational activities, including diving and kayaking. The first phase of the project took place from January to June 2024, comprising 30 days in Lviv and 10 days in a camp in Savudrija.

Recognizing the project's significance, the Ministry has provided financial support totalling €154,979.74 through two public calls, including €84,979.74 allocated for the second phase, which will span nine months. As highlighted during the meeting, the continuation of the project will introduce an expanded program and strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian partners, ensuring long-term support for veterans in their successful integration into civilian life.

This project is one of ten selected under the fourth Public Call for the Financing of International Development Cooperation Projects led by civil society organizations, issued and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
