Representatives of the five successor countries of former SFRY 31 May 2018 in New York signed a contract on the joint sale of the New York residence of the former Yugoslav ambassador to the UN, which had been empty since 1992.
The sale of the New York apartment is part of an agreement reached by the Joint Committee for Succession of Diplomatic and Consular Properties of the former SFRY, which defined the methodology for the sale of five properties that housed diplomatic/consular missions of the former federation. Said real estate has been sold for USD 12.1 million, of which Croatia is entitled to 2.075 million.
