FM Pejčinović Burić attends meeting of PACE Standing Committee

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić attended a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić attended a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), held 1 June 2018 in the Croatian parliament. The meeting was opened by PACE President Michele Nicoletti, with an address by Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković.

Pejčinović Burić presented to the committee members Croatia’s Council of Europe chairmanship priorities, exchanged views with MPs and answered their questions about Croatia’s priorities and the current political challenges that this oldest European organization is faced with.

Pejčinović Burić also held bilateral talks with Nicoletti. The two officials discussed the future reform of the Council of Europe and other topical issues related to its work.
