Farewell visit from Chinese ambassador

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Thursday received the farewell visit from Chinese Ambassador Xu Erwen.

The two officials underlined friendly bilateral relations, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation set up in a number of areas, from sports and education to green energy. Grlić Radman pointed out the Pelješac Bridge as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

Both sides agreed about prospects for the additional strengthening of economic cooperation and trade, underscoring the need to continue working on opening direct flights between the two countries so that Chinese tourists could return to Croatia in large numbers.

The minister thanked the ambassador for her dedicated work, cooperation and contribution to the advancement of Croatia-China bilateral relations during her term of office.
