In his presentation, Minister Jandroković pointed out the palpable progress that the Alliance of Civilizations initiative had made after three forums. This is especially true in regard to creating a framework for the promotion of intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and peaceful solutions to conflicts.

The Alliance of Civilizations successfully acts through regional initiative that support the development of action plans and regional strategies, said the minister, recalling the Sarajevo Declaration adopted for the countries of South Eastern Europe in December 2009.

Minister Jandroković said that Croatia placed great importance on cultural diversity, dialogue and cooperation as the cornerstones of peace, human solidarity and social justice. He concluded his presentation with a message that Croatia was prepared to support the future activities of the Alliance of Civilizations directed at enhancing cross-cultural and cross-civilizational dialogue, as well as mutual understanding and cooperation.
