Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović 13 May in Brussels attended the General Affairs Council

Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović 13 May in Brussels attended the General Affairs Council. Representatives of the member states talked about the agenda of the European Council scheduled for 26 and 27 June, which is to discuss the future development of European policies regarding justice and internal affairs, competitiveness, employment and topical foreign policy issues. The participants welcomed the future EU goals regarding justice and internal affairs policies, underlining the need for a joint action on part of the EU in regard to migration and asylum policies as well as enlarging the Schengen Area. The meeting also discussed the necessity of energy independence in order to, among other things, achieve the goals defined in the energy-climate package.
