Adriatic-Ionian Council holds meeting

Chaired by the Albanian foreign minister, the Adriatic-Ionian Council held a meeting 13 May in Brussels, with Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović in attendance. High officials from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia supported the drafting and implementation of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), thanked Albania for successfully presiding over AIC and welcomed the new president – Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Klisović expressed support for EUSAIR, stressed the importance Croatia places on regional approach and sustainable development, and underlined the significance of cooperation in energy security.
