Croatia was elected to the Executive Committee of the World Tourism Organisation...
On Saturday, 18 October 2003, the Republic of Croatia, together with Italy, Turkey and Bulgaria, was elected to the Executive Committee of the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) at the Regional Committee for Europe, within the 15th General Assembly of the WTO, that is being held in Beijing. Ms. Pave Župan Rusković, Croatian Minister of Tourism, was elected as Vice-President of the 15th session of the WTO General Assembly.
Thus, the Republic of Croatia was given recognition for its efforts and achievements in the field of tourism at this world forum.
